I had a plan when we decided to have a family! The first thing I learned, things never go as planned!

I wanted three kids. Instead, I had eight miscarriages, told I would never have a baby, and I should plan on adoption! I choose not to believe that! I did not care what I was told, I knew with every part of my being I would have a baby of my own.

It only took 13 years,  two costly failed in vitro fertilization procedures and nine pregnancies, to finally have a baby girl! During that time, I asked myself a lot of questions and had picked several different baby names. The one we agreed on did not seem fitting when she was born, and when we finally met her, the only name fitting was FAITH!

We had Faith. The faith we could make it happen against all the odds, Faith that science is not always right, Faith that we would have a baby of our own, Faith in God! Faith if you believe it to be true, it is!

I believe if you believe something to be true and you see it so clearly, you can make anything happen good or bad!

Think about it be intentional always, no matter what you want in life!

I recommend starting by asking yourself questions? The first one is do you want to have kids?

Not everyone wants to be a parent, and that is perfectly ok. Just be honest with yourself!

What kind of parent do you want to be?
Do you want to be like your parents?  Is there something you don’t want to repeat from your childhood?

Thinking about it and writing it down comparing with your significant other to make sure you both be on the same page before the baby arrives!
Discuss things like delivery natural or epidural?
Breastfeeding or bottle?
Stay at home or work and daycare, nanny or family members?
Tests, diet, immunizations, schools?
Depending on where you live, you may need to get on a waiting list!
Crazy, I know!

There are so many decisions you make when you add a new member to your family. We make over 35,000 decisions a day! Be your advocate.

Taking the time to think about and discuss some of these decisions before makes it less stressful later for everyone! I did a lot of flying by the seat of my pants. I don’t recommend that.

When you look back, things, happen, and you go with them. To truly create the life you want, you need to know what you want so you can make it happen!

It takes knowledge, know-how, community, and a lot of patience to raise a child these days!

It is not easy but it is so worth it!

It starts with a healthy body and mind!

If you just found out you’re pregnant!!!!
