Today,  we would like to shine a light on Awareness and How Awareness plays a Key Role in Creating Change.

Before any change can take place, We must become aware of why we do the things we do.

The only way to change something is to become Aware of… What it is.

How it is serving (or not serving) us.  Understanding where it comes from, what created it in the first place.

It is in the understanding of the behavior that leads to the Freedom of that Behavior.  There is no amount of “Willpower” or “Trying” that creates change.

That’s just not how it works… Which is good news right?

Rather, it is Understanding and Acceptance of what is that creates change.

Awareness is the Space that is Between a Thought and The Action.

We have the Capability to Choose.

To make a Conscious Choice. Choice does not exist without Awareness.

If there is no Awareness, then you are acting on the same old program. A program that’s been conditioned in you throughout the years.

We are here to let go of that Old Programming and Bring Awareness back into your life to empower you to make conscious healthy choices.

A good place to start practicing would be around unhealthy eating habits.

We want you to start becoming aware of the moment a Thought/Urge arises to eat something unhealthy. That moment you get that Sweet Craving or see that Burger.

We want you to practice creating space between grabbing the unhealthy food and the thought/urge that arose in the first place.

You may only last 3 minutes before you cave, but maybe the next time it will be 5 minutes, and the next time 10 minutes. ‍

The longer you stretch the time between the thought and the action is Growing your Awareness.

I’ve found working with people on one that the #1 thing people struggle with most is knowing what to eat.

There is so much nutritional confusion going on that people are overwhelmed…

What is “Good” and what is “Bad”

The best advice that I can give to people is to not complicate it.

Start Simple.

Focus on eating Whole Foods

Stop looking at food as “Good or Bad” and start looking at food as “Food and… Not Food”

Food Grows in the ground, food is natural, it exists without us tampering with it. And while we have learned to work with these foods so that they may grow in more abundance, they exist in nature.

Not Food is the stuff that we have created in labs. “Not Food” doesn’t exist in nature. “Not Food” is full of preservatives, chemicals, and shelf stabilizers. It exists because of well… Science.

Instead of being overwhelmed with all the choices and confusing labels, I advise people to purchase items where you know what every single ingredient is.

Every meal you eat doesn’t need to be “perfectly balanced”

Especially when you are just beginning your journey with eating a cleaner, healthier, conscious diet.

Eat some veggies and a healthy dip. That can be a meal.

Throw those Veggies in a bowl and grab a healthy dressing.

Enjoy a bowl of fruit. That can be a meal.

Keep it simple.

Focus on Cleaning up your food choices.

Once you’ve done that.. Trust that everything else will find its way.

Take these steps & ask yourself these questions

Step 1: What Motivates you?

Is there anything you have witnessed or experienced that you just can’t live with or that causes you to hurt?

Step 2: What energizes you?

You can burn out or give up if you pursue it in the wrong ways. You want to feel energized & excited about what you do, rather than depleted and exhausted. It’s not enough to know the problem you want to solve. You have to think carefully about the way that you want to solve it.

Step 3: What are you willing to sacrifice for?

When you find something that you are willing to sacrifice a lot for, you know that you’ve found your purpose.

Step 4: Who do you want to help?

By figuring out the specific person or people you want to help, you can more easily find your path.

Step 5: How do you want to help?

When you are aware you’ll realize that you are driven to solve that problem. You are motivated to make an impact. We are not made to be alone. When you remember that, you won’t let yourself give up. You will find the right support to help your journey.
